Welcome to Atlantic Family Mediation

If you and a family member are struggling with conflict and disagreements over parenting plans, living arrangements, or financial support; family mediation can be a cost effective and less adversarial alternative to going to court. Mediation can allow you to maintain control over important decisions for yourselves and your children. It can help preserve and promote positive communication and better parenting relationships.

Atlantic Family Mediation's goal is to help parents create an environment that promotes the well-being of children following separation or divorce. We do this through guiding parents in the creation of well thought out parenting plans, and supporting decision making and communication that will minimize potentially harmful conflict. We will provide practical information and emotional support to both parents while helping them find a way forward.

About

Start the Process

1. Book a free information call with a mediator to ask questions or discuss if mediation could be right for you. You can also send us an email with your questions, using our contact form below.

2. Discuss mediation with the other parent/caregiver, or reach out to us and we can contact the other party on your behalf, provide them with some information about mediation, and see if they will agree to participate.

3. Each person participating in the mediation will need to book a separate individual intake appointment. You can do this by email, phone, or by using our contact form below.

4. You will receive an information collection form by email after booking your intake appointment. Fill it out and return it as soon as possible for the mediator to review prior to your first appointment.
